WhatsApp Unveils New QR Code-Based Method for Easy Chat Transfer

WhatsApp, the widely used messaging app, has introduced a new and simplified way for users to transfer chat histories from an old phone to a new one. The latest method involves the use of a QR code, a significant departure from the cloud backup method that was previously in use for data migration. This new feature aims to make the transition process quicker, easier, and more secure for users changing phones but sticking to the same operating system.

The new system operates using a local Wi-Fi connection. To initiate the chat history transfer, both the old and new devices need to be turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
