Halo Infinite has received many positive reviews upon its initial release. At the same time, the game started to receive criticism in regards to its multiplayer and how it is handled by the developers. The multiplayer of the first season lasted for six months and now that we have access to the road map for both Season 2 and 3, it’s obvious that Season 2 will follow the same scheme.

When it comes to the problems of Halo Infinite that make this game less appealing, there are two main ones. The first one has to do with the lack of content and the other one is all about structural issues. The decision to make seasons that last 6 months is not the best one, considering that the game doesn’t have enough updates to keep players interested and motivated. Not long ago, the developers introduced quite limited cosmetics and strange microtransactions, so there are plenty of problems that 343 Industries should focus on. The same can be said about the progression system that prioritizes quests over the main objectives of the map.

Even though not all game developers can provide as many updates and variety as Fortnite, it is already obvious that players become used to this model. At the moment, it seems that players will be left waiting for Halo Infinite updates for a while.

This summer, the developers will try to revive the interest of fans by Forge updates and the co-op campaign that are supposed to come out in the summer of 2022. What is more, 343 Industries promised multiplayer narrative events that should become available at the beginning of Season 2.

Halo Infinite is currently available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
